Engine - This is a 250cc CVT Engine.With a horsepower rating of 16.6hp and a maximum rev limit of 8500rpm.

So what is a CVT Engine? A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is a transmission which can change steplessly through an infinite number of effective gear ratios between maximum and minimum values. This contrasts with other mechanical transmissions that only allow a few different discrete gear ratios to be selected. The flexibility of a CVT allows the driving shaft to maintain a constant angular velocity over a range of output velocities. This can provide better fuel economy than other transmissions by enabling the engine to run at its most efficient revolutions per minute (RPM) for a range of vehicle speeds.

Lube - The Engine oil is SAE15W/40SF and the Gear Oil is 85W90.

Engine Internals - The Piston Ring is ATGL. It is a Japanese Piston Ring and will last you a long time as long as you keep up on the oil changes and don't rag out your engine. The Intake and Oil Seals are Japanese and are KOK. The Engine belt is an American Gates Belt. It is a strong belt that will hold up for a long time.

Carburetor/Fuel - The Carb is a Japanese Carb with a Gas Release Switch. It is controlled by a Vacuum Pump which controls the flow of allowed gas to the carb. The Carb has an easy idle adjustment on top of the carb that can be accessed through the bottom of the storage unit under the seat.

Cooling - The engine is water cooled. It comes with Radiator Fluid with a 50% distilled water mix. This works great in the hot weather. The Engine is also cooled by a forced air cooled system. The air box intake sucks air through the air filter and is forced into the engine. You can change the air filter when needed. The hotter the outside temperature the hotter your engine will run at lower speeds. Since this is an air cooled engine you have to be driving the scooter for the engine to get proper cooling.

Start Method - This engine can be started with the electric start method. To start the engine with electric start you have to have the kill switch turned off and be holding in the front or rear brake in to start the scooter. This also has the Remote start option located on the Remote. Press the Auto Start button 2 times and the bike will start.

Gas Mileage - Alot of people ask about the MPG on these bikes. Some say they get 50 and others say they get 145. So why is there such a gap? There is an extremely easy answer and it will help explain why its so hard to give people a spot on answer. If you are doing stop and go riding or short rides where you turn off and start your scooter in short distances, then you will get crappy gas mileage. If you start up your scooter, drive 20 non stop miles, then turn off your scooter you will get amazing gas mileage. Keep this in mind before you buy. Either way scooters are an incredible gas savers.

Brakes - This scooter has a Hydraulic Front and Rear Brake Setup with a 280mm Disk. These brakes will do the job when you need to stop fast. They are quiet and are very smooth.

Suspension - The front suspension has non inverted front forks just like the Hondas. The forks are non adjustable but are preset to give you a smooth ride. The rear suspension has dual independent shocks on the rear of the scooter. They are preset to handle 2 riders and will let you glide over all the bumps in the road.

Clutch - Since this is an automatic engine the clutch is automatic. There is no clutching or shifting involved.

Controls - The controls are setup just like a standard sport bike with all the controls you'll need to operate the vehicle normally. It has the following switches, high/low beams, electric start switch, kill switch, horn, turn signals.

Storage - This scooter has plenty of storage including the storage box on the back of the scooter.

Alarm System - The alarm system on this scooter has a vibration sensor so if someone tried to touch or move your vehicle it will set off an ear piercing alarm. It is a great addition to the steering stem lock already installed on the bike.

Radio/MP3 Speaker System - The Radio system installed on this bike is ok, it's kind of hard to get reception at high speeds because the antenna is small but when you are at lower speeds it sounds perfect. The speakers that are installed are awesome speakers. You can be at 60mph and hear them perfect if you have a half helmet on. If you have a full face helmet on that covers your ears it can be hard to hear at times. This also has the MP3 player hookup so you can hook up your IPOD or MP3 player and listen to your music while you drive.

Wheels/Tires - This scooter has a 13" wheel setup on the front and the back. The tires are big and will give you a comfortable ride. The tires are 60/100 street tires. The wheels are solid and balanced to give you a good ride.

Battery - The battery is located under the seat. It is Chinese and the specs are 12V/9Ah.

Lights - This has a daytime running head light that has the high and low beams. It also has right and left side blinkers on the front and the back of the bike. There is a back brake light as well.

Bike Specs - The length is 87.4.", the width is 28.3", the height is 53.1 ", the wheelbase is 59.8", the seat height is 29.5 ", the ground clearance is 5.1 ", it holds 3.4 Gallons, and the weight is 319LBS.

Review by Mike Smith - Former Rider It is a great inexpensive scooter for anyone wanting to save some gas money and not break the bank when purchasing one. It is great because it has a good design, rides really smooth, and it also has storage in two places. Under the seat and in the storage box mounted on the back of the scooter. The exhaust sounds really good and isn't to loud. The brakes and controls are really smooth and then handling is great. The other huge difference is the ability to hug and corner turns quickly and smoothly. This is HWY legal and will do around 75 mph. It handles the road well and will be a great unit for you.

All Units are sold in the crate unless Assembly is paid for. Crated unit assembly will vary from unit to unit, but below is some basic assembly of most products. Scooters - Mirrors, Battery, Trunk. Pit Bikes - Front Wheel, Foot Pegs, Handlebar, Front Fender ATVS - Wheels, Handlebar, Battery UTVS - Wheels, Battery, Roll Cage, Shocks, Dump Bed Go Karts - Wheels, Battery, Roll Cage For ANY unit you choose to Assemble yourself, a PDI - Pre-Delivery Inspection and FULL maintenance MUST be done, This is required for ALL units and dealerships in the USA. By Saving the cost of the Assembly charge you accept the responsibility to do this. This is a REQUIRED step in the Assembly Process. By not doing this step you will be VOIDING your warranty.
